Information if you choose to use an e-cigarette

Yorkshire Smokefree Doncaster can now offer vapes through the governments new swap to stop scheme. With the help of the scheme and Totally Wicked (vaping retailer), Doncaster residents are now able to access vaping products as a smoking cessation aid.

To help you pick the best support for you, we want you to consider carefully before choosing an e-cigarette and read the information on these pages.

  • E-cigarettes, whilst not risk free are likely to be far less harmful than smoking tobacco
  • There is not enough evidence to know whether there are long-term harms from e-cigarette use
  • E-cigarettes and vaping products are regulated but are not medically licensed
  • Evidence shows that vaping is helping people to stop smoking and getting support will make it easier to quit

We are offering a Skope-S starter pack plus nicotine e-liquids free of charge for the first four weeks of your quit attempt and the choice of  free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) or continued use of your vape*, with behavioural support for the remaining twelve weeks programme.

Your advisor will discuss your options, read out a copy of the Yorkshire Smokefree Doncaster waiver and information about using the e-cigarette safely. If you decide to go ahead  you will be given a voucher code to redeem on-line at Totally Wicked or via the customer care phone line Tel: 01302 567122.
